$2.35 buys a one-way ticket to McCormick Place Convention Center or to downtown Chicago on the Metra Electric commuter train, which you can board from 57th Street or 59th Street stations. Buy a ticket from the vending machine or a ticket agent prior to boarding. (You will be charged $2.00 extra to buy the ticket on board.) You can also buy a 10-ride ticket for $20, valid for one year from the date of purchase, at a vending machine or ticket agent. During rush hour periods Monday - Friday, the train runs about every 5-15 minutes. Evenings, mid-day, and Saturdays, it runs once an hour. And on Sundays and holidays it is scheduled every 1-2 hours. We keep train schedules at our office, or you can check the time schedule by calling the Regional Transportation Authority at 773-836-7000, or check their Web site. We are 2 blocks from either station; however, more trains stop at the 57th Street station than at the 59th Street station.
